One of our newest clients, Florida International University’s Business School, tasked us with creating a series of happy hour events at South Florida hotspots to not only generate awareness of their prestigious MBA program, but also to prospect for candidates. We boiled the campaign down to a single question: Do you know how much an MBA is worth?
We created a campaign, Show Me The Money, and boiled it down to a single question: Do you know how much an MBA is worth? A plexiglass container filled with $600,000 in movie prop money – the average lifetime earnings differential for MBA graduates – was brought to happy hours and we invited the public to guess how much was in the case. The winner got 30 seconds in a branded money machine – loaded with real cash. We also awarded shorter 15 second trips to patrons at the bar chosen at random.
Show Me The Money made appearances at happy hour hotspots all across South Florida, including Balan’s in Mary Brickell Village, Mia at Biscayne in Downtown Miami, Tarpon Bend in downtown Fort Lauderdale, as well as a brief, but exciting stop, at FIU’s Graham Center. “Show Me the Money was a creative and engaging way to spread the word about FIU’s MBA programs,” said Luis Casas, director of marketing for the business school. “We were very happy with the project from start to finish.”
